Bruce Labey

13th Parish Jersey International Film Festival

Bruce Labey is a founding committee member of the 13th Parish Jersey International Film Festival, which began in 2018 as the Parish of imagination and creativity. He was born and raised in Jersey and after leaving school in 1977 he worked on the family farm in Grouville. This was the start of a horticultural career that led to a three year degree level course in horticulture at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (graduating in 1987) and a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Edinburgh in 1995). He also initiated the 'Dreaming Trees' light installation in Howard Davis Park and is currently Vice Chair of Jersey Trees for Life. Bruce will present 'Songs of Nature' international short film programme presented in collaboration with 13th Parish Festival.
