Herenboeren (People's Farming)

Douwe Korting from The Netherlands has a background in international land & water management and constructive farming journalism. He co-founded the pioneering regenerating 'Herenboeren Farm' (Peoples Farming). In this concept 200 households form a cooperative that hires a farmer (or two) to produce their food. The households both share costs and all other benefits of their regenerative farm, including food and fun. Douwe has worked for several years as a board member of the first (of 25 now) Herenboeren farm, developed and assisted many more community driven food and farming systems. He is now also active as a tour guide and organiser of tours through the Netherlands focusing on sustainable agriculture.
