Matt Le Maistre is a Rural & Marine Business Adviser at Jersey Business. He helps support producers on the Rural Support Scheme (RSS) and Marine Support Scheme (MSS) on behalf of the Government of Jersey — everything from onboarding new applicants to scheme admin, policy work, and day-to-day advice for farmers, smallholders, rural and marine businesses across the Island. Matt grew up on a family farm in Grouville, so it's fair to say agriculture runs in the blood — that background gives him a genuine feel for the practical realities behind the policy side of the job.
