Smallholder

My name is Ryan and I run a smallholding in Léoville, St Ouen. I keep a small flock of sheep for lamb, raise a few pigs each year for pork and have chickens for fresh eggs and meat. 
I also grow tomatoes, potatoes, and other seasonal vegetables, while caring for ten beehives - one of my greatest passions!
I started my smallholding to improve food security, reduce food miles and produce natural, high-quality food without preservatives or E numbers. My wife and our eight year old son are also involved, making it a real family effort that gives our son the opportunity to learn where his food comes from.
